Vitamin T is looking for a Senior Researcher for our client in Everett, WA. This is a 6+ month contract position on-site at the aviation studio in Everett, WA. The Research Contractor is responsible for planning and executing user-centered research to uncover new opportunities and suggest solutions that will shape the aviation industry for our clients. The position demands experience and knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative user-centered research methods.
Contribute to product design through rigorous user-centered exploration and analysis
Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods leading to actionable insight (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, experimental designs)
Collect, analyze, visualize, and prepare research findings for presentation to various audiences
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail
Passion for the use of user-centered research in the creative process
Comfortable in all aspect of research; from protocol design and data collection, to analysis and presentation
Ability to translate findings into actionable feedback
Capable of making design recommendations that balance user experience, stakeholder needs, and business strategy
Comfortable working independently or with a team
Strong organizational skills, methodical approach to research, but also comfortable with ambiguity
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of statistical programs (e.g. SPSS) preferred
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, User Experience Research, Social Sciences or equivalent field. Graduate degree preferred.
Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in a design setting; excellent written and verbal communication skills; passion for aviation, technology, business, design, and strategy a plus.
