Senior Project Manager

A well-known and highly regarded worldwide experiential agency in central London are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. Working exclusively on one of their biggest clients, an automotive company with whom the agency have been working for over 40 years, you will be delivering products across multiple channels, driving the integration of media and messaging, and bringing consistency to communications across local, regional and global markets.

As a client-facing Senior Project Manager for a major global client, you will own the planning and delivery of digital projects, with full responsibility for commercial success and client satisfaction. You will have a proven track record in project delivery from inception to launch, with experience of running multiple projects simultaneously and of delivering big budget projects for major clients. You will ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of all work on time, to budget and at quality. With outstanding attention to detail and a level-headed approach, you will be unphased by tight deadlines,
You will have the opportunity to work on projects ranging from interactive installations to social media and mobile applications. You must have a history in digital and an appetite to pursue cutting-edge work.

Detailed responsibilities:

● To be the primary point of contact for your projects, overseeing or managing multiple projects in different stages of delivery at any given time
● To deliver all projects on-time, on-budget & at quality
● To liaise closely with account team & clients, as part of a fully-integrated team
● To identify, scope & manage projects from inception to deployment
● To produce detailed project schedules and budgets that accurately reflect cost and effort involved to ensure a positive return
● To produce accurate, clear, concise documentation throughout the project
● To manage all aspects of a project hands-on; scoping, strategy, concept development, creative development (incl. copy/content, design, music/sound, photography/video, animation/motion graphics), technical development, testing and deployment (including attendance on site if required)
● To identify and manage risk, flagging issues and mitigations to senior staff
● To find creative solutions to production challenges, identifying ways to deliver concepts within budget and deadlines
● To provide weekly status & fortnightly financial updates to the PD
● To manage the budget, controlling cost and tracking revenue
● To maintain an up-to-date file for each project
● To liaise closely with the Resource Manager to flag resource needs in advance and manage change on a daily basis
● To ensure any third party or freelance resources are engaged only through approved channels, with contracts & funding in place before work begins

● To motivate all members of project teams to be their best, enabling excellence through a supportive environment

● To oversee junior and freelance team members

Experience and skills required:

● Extensive experience in a digital agency environment. Delivery into an experiential / live environment highly advantageous.
● Excellent communication skills, able to discuss concepts and issues with a specialist team and with non-specialist, business-focused stakeholders
● Excellent leadership skills, motivating a multi-disciplinary global team
● Substantial experience managing teams delivering at least 3 of the following:
a) Interactive installations and games
b) Web platforms (e.g. CMS, intranets, eCommerce)
c) Interface development (e.g. kiosks, POS, HMI, etc)
d) Social media campaigns and applications
e) Mobile and tablet applications
● Excellent business / requirements analysis skills
● Understanding of creative and technical quality assurance techniques
● Interest in current and emerging digital technologies, platforms and channels
● Basic understanding of the opportunities and constraints of common technologies (e.g. HTML5, augmented reality, social media, etc)
● Familiar with the considerations for deployment across multiple platforms
● Knowledge of usability and accessibility standards
● Awareness of legal requirements around data management
● Ideally holds a recognised project management qualification
● Must be able and willing to travel globally (typically up to 2 weeks at a time)
