Senior Project Manager For a Popular Video Game (contractor):

Our client, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager. Specifically, they are looking for an aggressive, organized, consumer-oriented person who is interested in marketing video games and thrives in a fast paced environment. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with the brand and creative teams to facilitate a major product launch. He/she works closely with both internal and external contacts, including other marketing functions such as creative, PR, retail, media, promotions/partnerships, and digital. The Senior Project Manager works on projects of moderate scope where analysis and planning requires review of variable factors. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing (with some assignments reporting directly into two brand managers) and is set to run through October.

Responsibilities:
• Proactively manage flow of projects from initial concept to release by setting up project kickoffs, gathering information and assets as required, and obtaining required approvals.
• Ensure that projects are completed within the predetermined budget and on-schedule.
• Closely monitor and maintain daily status reports of projects and budgets; attend weekly brand team meetings to update group on project status.
• Use his/her experience to proactively look at department processes, make suggestions for improvements, create new processes working independently and as part of a team.
• Organize cross-functional activities and oversee distribution/collection of key information to teams including but not limited to creative, digital, promotions/partnerships, retail, PR, and media.
• Partner with retail marketing, digital marketing, creative services, and other departments as required, to develop packaging, audio/visual asset such as trailers, print and online materials.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the client's internal creative services department and external agencies to coordinate schedules, budgets, and delivery of assets based on project specs.
• Help in the planning of trade and consumer shows and lead development of materials including promotional items, signage, etc.
• Work with legal, first party, and copy editing to arrange review and approval of all consumer facing assets.
• Assist in the creation of power point presentations.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years in a project management/marketing communications role in an advertising agency, design firm, in-house design department, or related marketing environment.
• Highly self-motivated and extremely well-organized with the ability and desire to facilitate and lead project management for the brand team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to persevere and find order in a fast paced environment with constantly changing variables.
• Strong, self-confident leader who motivates and builds trust with others both internally and externally.
• General knowledge of production and creative terminology as it relates to print, tv, online, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point.
