Role Description


This exciting and challenging role requires a highly skilled, extremely organized, resourceful and personable individual with over five years experience in production management who is able to efficiently spread their time across multiple projects.
The candidate must have experience working across all stages of production. The Senior Production Manager plays a pivotal role and needs to be skilled at building and coordinating the teams of Producers and PM’s across the business. This person must also be excellent at problem solving big and small - and capable of resolving the day to day issues around filming.

Spread across an in-house team of 5 Producers and 4 Production Managers, up to 70 projects on the go (at multiple stages), this role requires experience in not only approve realistic pitch budgets but spotting queries in live budgets and crew coordination, as well as cool calm head to problem solve on your feet.
You will be working closely with our EP’s and Head of Operations you will be at the helm of an already well established well-oiled machine. You will also work closely with our Production Account Team to ensure that foreign shoots have the correct allowances, all line items are covered, 3rd party resources are managed and booked correctly.
Most importantly you care about quality.

Requirements

• Attending kick off meetings with Exec Producer (as necessary) to scope projects
• Guide/ coach/ oversee producers making their own budgets to ensure maximum accuracy and consistency
• Signing off majority of budgets ahead of Producers sending to clients
• Work as team with producers/PM’s - filling in gaps as required. This could mean helping with anything from logistics, admin, resource, talking to contributors, attending shoots, collating content, etc
• Working alongside the Producers/ Directors/ Creative Directors to keep careful watch over the project’s scope - flagging issues as soon as they arise to ensure producers and clients are always aware of any impact on budget or timeline.
• Allocating new projects to Producers and PMs, with the Exec Producer, and making sure their are no bottlenecks or schedule issues
• Building budgets for projects (as required) in Paprika (ATP’s chosen budgeting software)
• Building a schedule (as required) based on budget and delivery requirements (dates and deliverables)
• Negotiating with suppliers and resources (always ensuring we have competitive quotes and choosing most suitable)
• Monitoring production costs on certain projects - ie: (supplier's time throughout)
• Monitoring production resource as a whole and reporting figures back to HOP and Head of Finance
• Good upward reporting to Head of Operations - always flagging potential movement on budget, schedule and requirements.
• Querying invoices and disputing invoices when necessary
• Forging and maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Working collaboratively with team + client to deliver fantastic content that clients are happy with and can be proud of!
