Vitamin T Client and world leader in the wholesale distribution of fine home furnishings, home & garden décor, strategic licensed products and fashion accessories is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their Product Development team. This exciting full-time, contract-to-hire/Temp-To-Perm opportunity is based at their corporate office here in beautiful Richmond, Virginia!

PURPOSE:
The Senior Product Line Manager for Home Products drives product strategy, product development priorities, and product release plans. This responsibility encompasses the complete product life cycle from initial idea through development, launch, ongoing operations and expansion of product. This position requires close interaction with graphics team, product marketing, and sales teams, as well as key customers. The focus is on a variety of functional product areas including tabletop, serve ware, paper products, kitchen décor, home accents, green products, textiles and barware.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Define the product strategy and road map.
 Analyze relevant product information; identify and source new products appropriate to new emerging consumer trends and locate new companies that produce these products.
 Provide the link between sales, production, customer service, and technical support teams.
 Manage all steps of product life cycle.
 Ensure on-time execution of new products to meet release deadlines.
 Coordinate all efforts throughout product process including R&D, sourcing, design, and product development.
 Coordinate catalog and retail execution plans with Marketing team.
 Work with planning and allocation to recommend actions to VP of product development.
 Develop seasonal plans and inventory analysis.
 Proven experience sourcing, pricing, packaging and merchandising gifts and accessories that make a statement in the marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.
 Minimum 5 years of relevant product development experience (in a related industry preferred).
 Strong proficiency in MS Office – including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
 Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
 Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
 Excellent teamwork skills.
 Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
 A passion for the product categories – including home entertaining, personal accessories, and gifts.
 Proven experience sourcing, pricing, packaging and merchandising gifts and accessories that make a statement in the marketplace.
 Ability to travel internationally 4-6 weeks per year
 Ability to travel domestically 2-3 weeks per year.
