Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager develops the website strategy and product development. He/She is the primary point of contact with the eCommerce partner for new features, production issues, and website related projects. The Senior Product Manager will develop and manage website strategy and product development for the company website. He/She manages projects through product development life cycle and will lead post launch analysis. The Senior Product Manager specifies website requirements by conducting market research, analyzing competitors, and maintaining a strong understanding of best in class website UI design. He/She tracks project progress as well as measures and analyzes existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve.

  • Develop and manage ecommerce roadmap with current eCommerce partner
  • Responsible for developing and executing ecommerce roadmap
  • Gathers business requirements from Merch/Buying/Planning/IT: translates into project requirements for the eCommerce partner
  • Manages projects through product development lifecycle with the eCommerce partner
  • Manages projects through product development lifecycle: develops business requirements and KPIs, drafts process flows, creates wire frames, manages creative design, writes product specification, and manages projects through development, QA, User Acceptance

    Testing and launch
  • Leads post launch analysis and reports back to senior management
  • Manages website defects list. Works with Dev/QA to resolve top priority defects
  • Analyzes website performance
  • Establishes KPI's for each part of the website (homepage, search, cross sells, checkout)
  • Works with analytics and development team to put Omniture tagging in place
  • Identifies opportunities to innovate and improve the website
  • Reports on website performance to sr. management team

    Successful Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong grasp of technologies and ability to troubleshoot technical issues and investigate with DEV/QA. Writes clear, reproducible and actionable bug reports.
  • Knowledgeable in technology development best practices and product management methodology
  • Strong understanding of online information architecture standards and website UI design

  • Possess unique blend of business & technical savvy; a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms the vision into a reality
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting consumer insights and translating qualitative and quantitative data into product features that move the needle on identified KPIs.
  • Ability to manage many tasks, schedules and complex interdependencies
  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management & analytical/problem solving skills are required, along with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Self-starter and accustomed to leading projects with little supervision

  • 5 - 7 Years preferred in website product management, preferably eCommerce
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or Finance, MBA preferred
