Senior Presentation Designer (Enhanced Presentation Studio - EPS)
Reports into: EMEA EPS Manager
Shift: 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm
Salary: £35k to £43k

Location:
Based on their client's site at a Global Investment Bank & Asset Managers in Canary Wharf

Job Purpose:
In this role you will be accountable for the delivery of creative work assigned to you by the EPS Design Project Manager. You will spend the majority of your time on design work, primarily for print but also some digital.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have a deep understanding of PowerPoint, as the job will require editing and design work directly in PowerPoint 2010.
- Use Photoshop and Illustrator to create graphics for use in presentations including templates, backgrounds, information graphics, metaphorical graphics, and diagrams.
- The candidate should be comfortable communicating with senior-level clients in order to understand their concepts and interpret them visually. Presentations are frequently created in the brand of third party companies, so the designer should be able to shift gears and adapt to different brands/aesthetics.
- The ability to work thoroughly and independently is key.
- Ensure work adheres to all best practices and style guidelines, unless otherwise specified and work toward 100% accuracy against style and brief.
- Follow instructions on the work request sheet and ensure job is discussed with Project Manager to capture any additional instructions.
- Organise work effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Work to continually improve your knowledge of the core software applications and provide any testing, piloting and support in line with business requirements.
- Proactive raising of creative ideas or emerging trends in line with the business objectives
- Ensure that a smooth handover occurs with global design teams
- Escalate any staff or Client issues which may result in complaints or staffing problems with the EMEA EPS Manager in a prompt and timely manner.

Competencies:
- You will be self-motivated, have the ability to work on own initiative and have a mature, calm outlook and style of communication
- Ability to work as part of a team within a fast moving environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Understands importance of brand and can work within established standards
- Ability to take ideas from clients and turn these into visually appealing presentations or graphics
- Experience in a deadline-driven environment is essential and you must have the ability to multi-task across multiple projects

Skills:
- A proven track record in presentation design or come from a graphic design background
- Excellent design sense and awareness of current design trends
- Advanced InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills
- Advanced level MS Office (primarily PowerPoint)
- After Effects and/or Video editing skill would be an advantage
- Knowledge of print design
- Investment banking / financial industry or similar experience an advantage
- Portfolio or work samples showing a clean, contemporary aesthetic
