Senior Planner / Client Business Manager - Media

My client are looking for a Senior Planner / CBM who can hit the ground running, so Australian market experience is essential. You need to be senior enough to face the main client whom you will be managing within the FMCG space. You will be responsible for all planning across this client and it's subsidiary brands. You will be responsible for kicking off media deals to suit their proposed campaigns. You will be either a Senior Planner who has excellent client facing / account management skills, or perhaps a Client Business Manager who has recently stepped up and is still willing to do the planning required.

As the Senior Planner / Client Business Manager (CBM) your main priorities are to ensure that excellent service is provided to clients from the business team, and also mentoring and training junior staff. Direct reports’ will be a Planner, Investor and Digital team members, depending on the individual group. The Senior Planner / CBM works closely with the Account Director, to ensure that the product delivered to clients is of superior quality and best in class. As a Senior Planner / CBM for this global media agency you will be expected to evolve your media skills in the role, whilst also facilitating shared knowledge amongst the junior team members.

Responsibilities;
 Manage the client business within your portfolio, with support from the AD, as a core contact for media related communication
 Maintain great working relationships with the clients in your portfolio
 Anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively approach them with media solutions to help grow their business
 Ensure that clients are informed on general media industry topics which may affect their business
 Attend brand planning workshops, client presentations and any other client meetings that require presence from the agency
 Stay aware of clients’ competitor activities & deliver insights for clients
 Ensure short term opportunities are communicated to the client to take advantage of any extra value
 Work with AD to prepare concise plans that bring a communications strategy to life
 Management of the implementation plans throughout their delivery
 Managing internal stakeholders on the delivery of media reporting
 Work closely with AD to identity opportunities for diversified services
 Participate in weekly WIPs to maximise knowledge of the client’s business
 Develop excellent media relationships that benefit the client
