Length of role: 6 months

Renumeration: £250 - £260 p/d DOE

Start date: Immediate

Preffered: Knowledge of Cycling / Cycling Marathons / Cycling Sports


The role requires the ability to apply Comms strategy across a range of media and brand applications with a keen eye for detail. Focusing on our marketing and participation goals you will need to be able to write briefs, and manage their delivery through the day to day relationships with our partners and agencies.

Job Description:


Deliver the 2015 cycling marketing communications plan that meets Engage Team and its Partners to ensure that we support.

Ensure internal stakeholders kept informed and engaged

Support the Cycling Project Manager in day to day workings with talent and British Cycling’s partnership and business targets for their favorability/fan objectives, whilst using the companies assets effectively where required to utilise the partners talent and across marketing plans


Working with Head of Cycling Partnerships to continue developing the support delivery of the Cycling Consumer Journey project, in explore innovative approaches around digital content creation and manage execution of the TTL cycling comms campaign ensuring brand production and co-ordination of all required cycling promotional strategic brand and direction for the cycling campaign partnership with British Cycling, to improve consumer engagement with our cycling platform comms using cycling assets guidelines are met across the programme and agreeing sign-off process and approvals materials

Work with the digital lead/strategy management team to deliver web development and management of media plan ensuring value of the liaise with all agencies to ensure seamless integration and all timelines manage day to day comms plans with all internal PR teams to deliver manage ad-hoc cycling marketing opportunities and requests across content and marketing strategy media plan is maximised and meets objectives met against programme objectives the business, supported by executive where appropriate internal staff engagement manage and deliver staff cycling engagement programme of work closely with internal agencies and comms departments to events communicate the events and benefits of cycling to our staff stakeholder Where appropriate manage day to day partnerships.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience across marketing, PR and on and offline channels with solid skills in campaign development and delivery media planning and delivery.

Digital Comms and Content Creation

Partnership and Agency Management

Experience in creating marketing messages across the media mix

Internal comms (not compulsory)

Through the Line campaign experience

Ability to write creative briefs

Ability to manage new and existing partnerships which deliver benefits to

both brands

Monitoring and evaluating programmes

Budget Management (day to day management: forecasting and phasing)

Management experience

Media Agencies: Media Com, Jam, TPF

Sports, Internal Comms

Direct reports:

You will manage and support the Cycling Partnership & Comms Executive

though the reporting line will sit with Head of Cycling Partnerships.
