Senior Nuke Artist

We are currently seeking an Senor Nuke Artist with a creative flair to join a visual effects team at a big broadcasting company.

The VFX department sits within the Creative team and provides services for many differing media departments and channels. These are often driven by current campaigns, which may require a variety of deliverables from high level commercials and promos to digital and print assets. Additionally the programmes require complex title sequences and on air graphics.

Job Purpose:
As a senior member of the Creative Team, the successful candidate should be a highly visual creative, with an excellent knowledge of visual effects techniques and the software and hardware they operate.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend meetings to advise and plan vfx shots / sequences
• On Set Supervision when required
• Post Shoot - Conforming / Liaising with Ingest / Data Lab
• Look Development on a variety of differing projects
• Working closely with CG lead during projects ensure the team has all elements required and to the quality.
• Liaising with Production/Designers/Directors to ensure Job meets delivery.
• Ensure Final Masters meet quality and delivery specs for multi platform deliveries including archive backup.

Candidate Specification:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident with direct client communication
• Highly organised, easily able to demonstrate successful multi-tasking.
• An excellent and proven team worker/player
• strong desire to excel
• Keen attention to detail
• Take direction from others
• Demonstrates a flexible and pro-active approach
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• Ability to react and respond quickly to the needs of management and clients
• Client friendly – able to engage with many different clients ranging from in house Design Directors and Creatives to external directors and external sponsorship executives. This would be from initial meetings through to final delivery

Essential skills & experience:
• A high-level of commercials-based compositing experience (film compositing not essential)
• Excellent understanding of CG rendering and compositing
• Excellent knowledge of visual effects techniques
• On-set supervision
• Excellent knowledge of Nuke. (Currently v9)
• Knowledge of Nuke Studio is an advantage but not essential
