Senior Mobile UX/Information Architect

Our client is hiring a Senior Mobile UX Information Architect! The role is temp to perm, sits onsite in their Malvern, PA office and starts immediately.

The candidate MUST have heavy mobile experience. They will be responsible for the initial wireframes and prototypes - NOT the visual design. However, if the candidate has a background in visual design in addition to usability and a heavy emphasis on work flow design, it's a big plus.

They use Axure for wireframing and InVision for prototyping. They are open to candidates who have worked in other programs such as Omnigraffle, UX Pin, etc.

Provides optimal user experience by leading and driving information architecture for B2B eCommerce and

thought leadership experiences on Web and Mobile for major hardware, services, and supplies provider.


 Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and

working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorization, taxonomy, and

navigation; designing and engaging User Experience, Usability Studies and User Research teams.

 Plans information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning

architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design;

creating user stories, personae, and user scenarios; preparing data models; designing information

structures in both Wireframes, and Interactive Prototypes, work-and dataflow, and navigation design;

evaluating information representation; coordinating direction with creative - copy, design, and

marketing teams from both internal and external agencies.

 Organizes information by translating user behavior into media structure and elements; crafting

interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards;

preparing interaction specifications, navigation rules, organization of information, and site maps;

coordinating with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive, and brand design


 Implements information architecture by preparing paper and interactive prototypes and mockups

including page layout and navigational elements.

 Coordinates with Product Managers, Web Producer and Production Developers to integrate site

concept, visual design, writing, interface, and navigational structure; documenting structure and

processes in an Agile Environment.

 Validates information delivery by developing and completing usability test plans; clear success

metrics, evaluating traffic patterns; studying user feedback; coordinating with Usability Specialists.

 Updates job knowledge by tracking research regarding web design and usability; participating in

educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;

participating in professional organizations.

 Mentors and coordinates activities of other Information Architects, Copy, and Design resources.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

 Bachelors of Science required; Computer Science, Psychology; or Human Computer Interaction is

preferred , Masters preferred

 5-10 years information architecture experience

 Certified Usability Analyst certificate preferred

 Experience with Usability Research, Data Driven, Agile Methodologies preferred

 Experience with website development tools and technologies preferred; i.e. JavaScript, PHP, HTML,

Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, A/B Testing Tools, Analytics Tools.


 Must have experience with requirements analysis

 Data Maintenance

 Database Management experience

 Requires ability to model data
