Senior Marketing Manager for the Energy Storage Systems (ESS) battery team

Aquent's client is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager for the Energy Storage Systems (ESS) battery team. This is a direct hire/permanent role with a very exciting company. This is an onsite opportunity located in San Jose, CA and begins ASAP/2016.

Requirements:
* Market analysis with the purpose of identifying potential ESS customers that will have value over the long term
* Develop a business case to explain and secure Japan management team support for resources to secure business
* Based on comprehensive understanding of the battery line-up, combined with an understanding of the targeted customer needs, develop an effective value proposition.
* Work with Japan team to develop tactical marketing mix to support penetration and growth with the targeted customers
· Develop pricing strategy, support final product definition, plan an appropriate promotion campaign
* Identify and work with industry partners to open new sales channels, help partners close business directly with end users
* Regular benchmarking of competition
* Negotiate and close purchasing agreements with customers
* Establishing annual budgets, mid-range plans, and demand forecasting

Qualifications:
* 10 years’ marketing or sales experience working in the Energy industry sector
· Experience with utility class installations desired.
· Experience with industry consortiums, government agencies, and standards committees desired.
· Renewable energy industry experience desired.

* At least 5 years’ marketing or sales experience working in the lithium ion battery space
* Project management skills
* Contract negotiation experience
* Business case construction experience
* Experience working in multinational business environments
* Business development experience
* Client is seeking a candidate that has experience in working with senior management in proposing, obtaining approval and then driving to successful completion new products in the new markets.
* Prefers a candidate with experience in the utility market place or any of the other companies that we previously identified. (For reference I have included the list below)
* Client is NOT seeking consultants for this role. They need someone who can drive the whole process and take responsibility for the results.
