FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of The Sr. Marketing Manager role is to support, and execute US marketing and promotions for our brand. This position is expected to be a leader within the department and company-wide: one who can manage agencies & vendors; develop relationships with key constituencies such as development studios, manufacturers, brands, TV animation partners and licensors; and who can participate in senior-level decisions and discussions with respect to the management of the marketing team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as marketing ambassador within the company to create visibility among other functional teams including licensing, games and TV.
Interact directly with creative team and ad agencies to create enticing marketing campaigns.
Work with marketing, creative services, legal, and product development teams on creation and approval of marketing assets.
Work with PR and community teams globally to plan key beats for launch campaigns, major content updates and price point activity.
Analyze performance of all marketing programs including ad spend, to identify the best opportunities for optimization, and regularly iterate to maximize performance.
Work with product development teams (PD) to identify market opportunities for creating games that are suitable to the marketplace.
Work with other third parties to seek out promotional opportunities and co-marketing opportunities and partnerships.
Work with first parties and sales teams to secure beneficial placement of assigned titles.
Responsible for fan-focused marketing activities and interactions for the brand.
Create marketing materials and facilitate sweepstakes as necessary.
Manage submissions of all assets and product information
Assist in organizing and hosting of promotional events and trade shows.
Demonstrate game internally and externally as necessary.
Create marketing presentations for external use to communicate with business partners about the games.
Direct Market Research in the development of focus group discussion guides and questionnaire.
Write evaluations of games, competitive analyses of games, and develop market trend analyses.
Work closely with social media team.
Liaise with European consumer products team for opportunities
Manage relevant budgets.
Oversees associate brand manager in day to day execution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passion for videogames, pop culture and entertainment
Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Excellent personal interaction skills –must be able to work with teams in different countries
Understands social media including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, forums, blogs and the broader entertainment industry trends with these platforms
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to address unforeseen problems creatively, patiently, and tactfully
Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
Familiarity in online marketing, social media marketing or public relations
Proficiency with MS Office, Photoshop, Facebook, Twitter
Familiarity with media buying and/or planning
Familiarity with packaging, advertising and creative strategy
Candidate should be comfortable being independent, entrepreneurial in attitude and a self-starter
Strong on organization, presentation and execution.
Tackles role with great sense of urgency.
Travel requirement: approx. 10-20%
