Senior Marketing Manager

The Advertising and Online business is a people driven organization that is responsible for driving sales of our online and global advertising products. It is a fast paced organization in which you can thrive and grow as you deliver results.

The strategy team within Advertising and online is responsible for securing deals that will improve the user experiences and will drive revenue and better monetization for our online properties. With the reinvention of our operating system, we are looking for top talent to drive the advertising partnerships with publishers, agencies and advertisers necessary to build the product advertising ecosystem.

We are looking for a senior level, high energy, experienced and entrepreneurial individual with a strong passion for technology, advertising and working on large high impact businesses opportunities. The right candidate will be a seasoned professional with experience in business development, evangelism and with a solid technical and business background and preferably with experience working with one or more of the following: developer communities, ad agencies, advertisers and/or publishers.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
Major Publishers: (80%)
• Direct engagement with mid to large size publishers to drive adoption of the product advertising platform
• Partnering with DPE and the product’s own the business development process with these partners for the adoption of our Advertising Platform. This includes taking the engagement from proposal pitch to the negotiations and close of final agreements
• Pipeline management and lead generation
• Responsible for securing Advertising presence and representation in major developer and evangelism events
• Subject matter expert and evangelist for Ads in solutions to the developers and publishers community

Developer Workshops and Agencies: (10%)
• Direct business engagement with mid to large size Advertising and developer agencies to drive adoption of Advertising platform
• Agency, Client and Product team engagement and relationship management
• Evangelism, creative training and readiness program execution and leadership
• Unblock and create strong ways to partner and help dev shops benefit from using Advertising solutions

Training, Reporting and others: (10%)
• Professional Development and learning activities
• Involvement with the broader community
• Best practices and knowledge sharing
• Local Ads in lead and internal advocate

Key competencies:
• Strategic insight and strong business acumen
• Market Analysis & opportunity identification
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in technology
• Strong communications and public speaking
• Track record of having strong influence and rapport with partners\clients
• Strong track record of closing deals in a fast paced environment
• Strong cross group collaboration
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated business development success in an online media business

Qualifications:
• 7 or more years of business development or evangelism in technology or advertising
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• Prior experience working with developer communities
• Effective senior-level communications (both verbal and written)
• Strong track record of closing deals
• Strong understanding of UX principles and creative best practices.
• Deep understanding of mobile, tables and other devices
• Deep understanding of the App ecosystem, operating systems and ad platforms
• MBA or related master’s degree preferred
