The Sr. Marketing Manager - Contractor manages the offsite marketing team that is responsible for email and promotions for US and European websites and email, promotions, and site marketing for the Canadian websites. Management skills and relationship building are key for ensuring success in this role, as is a background in retail ecommerce marketing. This person will report to the Marketing Director. This is a full time contract position that will end in February 2014.

Key Job Responsibilities include:
 Oversee seasonal email and promotional marketing strategy and execution for US and Europe and email, promotions, and site marketing for Canada.
 Collaborate with Inventory Management to ensure that pre-season promotion plans support financial forecasts. Drive contingency planning to enable in-season flexibility for changing business conditions.
 Ensure an easy cross channel shopping experience for customers by managing alignment with retail stores.
 Oversee email program: drive retention through a strategic approach to customer touch points and message cadence. Drive email acquisition on and off the website.
 Develop and support execution of testing strategy to optimize email and promotions.
 Drive innovation in the email and promotions space. Look for new ways to drive traffic/ acquire customers.
 Maintain deep understanding of online apparel retail market and react to new insights and behavior shifts.
 Oversee hindsighting and competitive benchmarking to inform marketing strategies, seasonal program effectiveness, planning, campaign execution and process improvement.
 Partner with Digital Marketing team on new idea generation and successful execution of social media, online advertising, search engine and affiliate marketing to support initiatives.
 Ad hoc analysis/projects as needed
Leadership and Technical Skills Needed for the Position include
 Must have a deep understanding of how to use marketing to drive a business, how to prepare for and react to change and how to provide leadership the information and recommendations they need to make smart and fast decisions.
 Must be adept in strategic thinking & analytics + developing messaging strategies & writing creative briefs (desired skill set is at the intersection of creative and analytical).
 Track record of successfully managing a team, getting work done through others and developing direct reports.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills especially the ability to glean insights and tell a story from data.
 Ability to manage and measure work effectively and efficiently.
 Politically savvy with track record of navigating multiple levels of an organization.
 Ability to work in fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize multiple projects.
 History of creating effective cross-functional partnerships and working through multiple levels of an organization
 Passion for the retail/fashion industry and a track record of being customer focused

 Background in retail/fashion industry, ecommerce preferred.
 10+ years of marketing or relevant experience
 3+ experience managing others
 Strong excel and analytical skills
 Omniture, Microstrategy, and CRM experience a plus
 MBA a plus
