Our client is looking for an Interim Senior Marketing Manager that will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership in implementing marketing programs and product development to enhance the growth and profitability of the organization. This is an open ended position that could last from 12 to 24 months. Leading marketing projects including the integration of 3 brands into 1.
A successful candidate must bring proven project management skills as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members. As a direct report to the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering highly effective marketing programs that drive revenues for the company and their customers. An essential member of the marketing team, you will bring strong channel and digital marketing experience to bear on a newly expanded market.
Desired Skills and Experience
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Driving the execution of key business building initiatives. This includes new product development, point-of-sale, graphics, merchandising and promotions.
Leading content development for branded websites and digital marketing initiatives
Defining relevant marketing analytics and recommending appropriate programs to hit revenue goals
Traveling to the “marketplace” with sales team for customer meetings and trade shows
Identifying opportunities to expand our business with both current and new channels
Interfacing consistently with sales, customer service, supply chain and other functional areas to manage project timelines and budgets. Proactively identify challenges and opportunities and take action to address them.
Managing outside vendors and agencies. Recommending best practices to drive both trial-building and loyalty programs that maximize return on investment.
Leveraging a “test, measure and refine” approach to constantly improve program results. Reporting metrics and recommending improvements and building new programs.
Serving as the internal resource for first aid and safety category across all markets. Identifying category trends and competitive activity. Making recommendations based on analyses to the VP of Marketing and other Division leaders.
Ensuring all marketing communications programs and promotions are aligned with corporate identity, strategies and go-to-market tactics
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred but not required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of experience in consumer goods, manufacturing or medical supply marketing with relatable experience building sales in the first aid category preferred
Proven success working with both B2B and B2C channels
Experience with channel marketing through distributors preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Highly proficient in modern marketing techniques and best-practice methodologies
Hands-on familiarity of Salesforce.com or similar CRM system
High energy, results driven and self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a matrixed reporting structure preferred.
Successful managing multiple projects at once, working under tight deadlines, and prioritizing based on urgency of projects
Able to provide highly detail-oriented, precise, and accurate information and instructions within specified timelines
Strong communication and presentation skills
Innovative thinker able to translate ideas into action
Familiar with digital marketing concepts and platforms
Strong leadership skills that can inspire trust, teamwork, ethical behavior and display a sense of caring for the company and its entire staff
