Senior Marketing Manager - Finance

A large payment and banking solutions organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager reporting into the Head of Customer Marketing.

As the products and new customer acquisitions lead, you’ll be responsible for the development and execution of new account sales campaigns across multiple channels, (primarily DM and secondarily email), multiple products (credit cards, revolving lines of credit and overdrafts) both via cross-sell and open market recruitment. Drive integration into debit product offers to drive profitable portfolio growth. Target is to grow credit card portfolio by 300% YOY.

Main responsibilities:
• Achieve commercial targets set collaboratively with P&L owners and Credit Director to support Consumer and SME segments;
• Establish and run robust campaign management process and deliver campaigns on time, to budget, maintaining accurate and comprehensive campaign documentation and conducting post campaign performance reviews;
• Own product development and management, including pricing and proposition;
• Work with Risk to optimise credit performance and prospect universe focusing on increasing mailable population, new accounts opened, card activation rates, CPA, utilisation rates, and revolve rates;
• Optimise customer journeys and conversion paths;
• Recommend and execute continuous Test and Learn activities;
• Stay abreast of competitors' practices and product offering to ensure the business remains competitive and to inform test and learn activities;
• Manage relationships with credit bureaus and mail houses;
• Deliver customer management strategies like CLIP, and retention to maximise key KPIs;
• Lead capabilities development projects…e.g. sales via mobile app;
• Research, identify and evaluate the potential demand and commercial return for NPD

Essential Skills:
• Graduate calibre or equivalent
• Proven track record with driving credit card new account acquisition -
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative environment
• Experience working on credit products and in consumer and/or corporate financial services industry
• Experience working with agencies, such as mail houses and creative agencies
• Product management experience within the credit card industry
• Numerate, with ability to interpret data
• Ability to learn and grasp new ideas and concepts quickly
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work tactically and independently
• Ability to translate customer and market needs into effective product development programmes
• Relationship and team building skills
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with business partners and decision makers at all levels, including executive levels, of an organisation

Desirable skills:
• Experience managing B2B lending products
• Digital channel experience / expertise
