A global company based in Portland, OR is looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to join their growing team. This role is going to focus heavily on writing, editing and proofreading various content. Someone with some form of PR experience is a HUGE plus but not required.

Description:

The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for all marketing communication initiatives, preparing marketing campaigns and the copywriting of corporate content and collateral materials. You will spend most of your day executing on campaigns and content including emails, social media, whitepapers and eBooks, website, tradeshow/event messaging, and other brand messaging and product positioning.
This position offers the opportunity to take your marketing and communications skills and apply them to an ever changing industry. Working both in-house, with partners/resellers, and with our global distributors allows you to exercise your creative skills while putting your writing expertise into practice in a variety of ways.

The ideal candidate is an excellent writer who is able to independently produce content for a diverse assortment of projects/tasks, has a big-picture mentality while also possessing the ability to manage and track details of assigned projects, and is able to adapt quickly while effectively performing in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop marketing campaigns, white papers, marketing positioning and blog posts
  • Create website content including targeted campaigns, landing pages and complete website copy
  • Copywriting for direct mail pieces, email marketing and multi-touch campaigns
  • Participate in the creative process for marketing campaigns, branding, and other activities
  • Prepare and edit prospect and customer materials, including proposals, price books, and various communication pieces as required by all departments
  • Develop and managing press release creation and distribution
  • Oversee and manage companywide social media efforts
  • Maintain and manage the marketing editorial calendar
  • Help to build, define and evolve brand and/or product positioning
  • Contribute to event planning and marketing
  • Additional ad hoc writing and marketing work as required


  • QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
  • 7-10+ years’ work-experience in a marketing and communications role
    A bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, business, communications, journalism or other related fields
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when it comes to B2B marketing
  • Extensive experience in developing marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to effectively prioritize changing tasks and work with minimal project supervision
  • The ability to self-manage timelines and workload
  • Positive, driven and fun attitude
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes, and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Experience in Software, B2B, and/or Microsoft Dynamics ISV marketing a plus
