Senior Marketing Analyst

One of my non-profit clients is looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate is flexible and organized and adept at transforming data into actionable campaigns.

This role works across internal clients and business units (Marketing, Sponsorship, Fundraising) to develop and implement multi-channel, multi-touch customer campaigns using CRM tools. In this role, you will become an expert on the customers’ data, help clients manage customer segments, and drive revenue through effective campaign development and execution.


You will support execution of tests, reporting on campaign results, and compiling of learning. You are responsible for all data gathering, research and analysis, and reporting on fundraising and sponsorship information. You will provide expert recommendations and deliver reports to management and executives.

Responsibilities

-Execute qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis
-Lead/conduct research projects from design phase through implementation
-Revise and improve strategies based on founded data
-Document specifications and programming for all campaigns
-Work with internal departments and mail shops to review and sign off on laser proofs of mailings
-Resource for data management system including functionality and end-user support
-Develop plans and build queries, campaign data files and technical support on data fields / indices / derived values
-Design system customizations and enhancements, complementary data overlays, and decision support tools
-Coordinate with vendor on technical issues, hygiene, processing, and list services
-Coordinate with IT department and other operational groups to ensure data quality
-Develop and produce routine and ad hoc reports for management
-Develop reporting and training for end-users (donor look-up, package coding, query building) and deliver training to individuals / groups
-Develop queries, report templates and analyses to support organizational objectives.


Required Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
-Three to five years of experience in an analytical role or CRM role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Proficiency in creating database tables, queries and indices in a relational database
-Proven proficiency in statistical and quantitative analysis and reporting tools such as SAS, SPSS, SQL, Business objects or others
-Ability to program SQL statements
-Excellent consultative and troubleshooting skills
-Exceptional organizational and priority setting abilities
-Analytical and problem solving skills
-Extensive knowledge of database functionality
-Extensive knowledge of organization’s business practices, configuration and policy and procedures as related to data quality, building campaign files and marketing reporting
-Strong understanding of direct response marketing principles and techniques, including marketing campaign management, program measurement and financial evaluation, list management, data hygiene, mail processing, management of third party vendors
-Excellent written and presentation software skills
