Senior Market Development Manager (Temp to Perm)

The Senior Market Development Manager for Immunoassays is responsible for coordinating the development of go-to-market strategies and execution of global marketing programs for antibodies and immunoassays. The successful candidate should have a combination of technical and marketing skills/knowledge and will coordinate closely with multiple functional teams (e.g. Market Development, Product Management, Regional Market Development, Creative Services, eBusiness, etc.) and outside vendors to execute integrated marketing programs designed to help achieve global sales, marketing, and revenue goals; and then report on progress and successes in reaching the goals.

Key Responsibilities:

 Develop strategic marketing plans for antibodies and immunoassays including analysis of customer segments, competitors, business trends, and market opportunities

 Develop and execute tactical marketing plans for both existing products and new products within the portfolio

 Create and implement appropriate messaging and marketing content across multiple channels, including web, video and print

 Develop sales force training and customer education material in collaboration with product management, R&D and commercial teams

 Coordinate with global functions to ensure consistency with messaging, brand profiles, and company standards

 Work closely with regional marketing managers to build and execute marketing programs within their regions

 Coordinate tactical roadmaps and manage spend across a group of market development managers


 Develop and maintain KPI/metrics dashboards and report out on progress toward goals across multiple levels of the organization

 Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel, including direct customer communication, and public presentation

Required Qualifications:

 Thought leader who can speak to trends and behaviors in marketing, know where to optimize current channels and identify new opportunities to improve our marketing

 Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and have the ability to communicate internally and externally with different businesses and management levels

 Able to communicate a vision for both new product launches and revitalizing existing product lines to build consensus among stakeholders

 Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts and strategies in a concise and straightforward manner to less technical audiences

 Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities, set aggressive objectives, and drive key business priorities

 Possess a strong understanding of campaign development including web, email, display ad, social media, and event marketing.

 Able to work cross-functionally and with a variety of business needs and expectations; familiar with matrix organizations

 Able to build relationships and work effectively with business partners in diverse locations via phone/email and 15-20% travel

 Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, able to multi-task, and have high attention to detail & consistency

 At least 4 years in a similar role including solid experience developing marketing strategy and

successfully implementing marketing plans

Desired Qualifications:

 Degree in an applicable life science discipline and experience in product management and/or marketing; PhD or equivalent lab experience preferred

 Previous laboratory work with antibodies or immunoassays and a working knowledge of ELISA and other immunoassays

 Experience with web content development/optimization, search engine optimization, Google AdWords/pay-per-click advertising, email marketing/marketing automation, video marketing
