The Senior Manager Paid Search – Delivery Operations is responsible for overseeing a Group of Search Teams consisting of major national and/or several key national/global accounts for Marketing Solutions. The Senior Manager Paid Search – Delivery Operations is responsible for developing the search marketing strategy that successfully aligns with the clients’ communication planning goals while strengthening client and internal relationships for Marketing Solutions. This role will be responsible for setting goals and developing managers and their teams. This role will have significant team management responsibility for teams responsible for the day-to-day management of paid search campaigns (PPC, pay per click).

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with demonstrated strong academic history and professional performance. The position requires someone who is highly analytical, motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced environment. The position requires a deep love of paid search and an enthusiasm to share knowledge, but also possesses the desire and experience to provide leadership.

Duties:
• Direct and lead account employees to successful completion of client goals
• Completion and delivery of performance reviews by HR determined deadlines
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of team members, providing training opportunities to improve or showcase strengths. Ensure classroom/webinar and on the job training/shadowing occurs to improve growth areas for all direct reports
• Develop a team and ensure each team member has a development plan to work with throughout the year
• Manage training and career path development for a large paid search team; ensuring all team members are aware of current trends and technologies
• Oversee paid search practitioners with account performance troubleshooting, leveraging knowledge of the space and experience driving performance and growth of the program
• Ensure all direct reports master the hard and soft skills and organizational savvy required for advancement
• Able to establish and maintain effective relationships interdepartmentally as well as those outside the immediate team while communicating effectively across all levels
• Manage a portfolio of accounts with operational acumen, and ensure overall performance of campaigns
• Ability to analyze and problem solve tactical issues while ensuring account strategy is maintained
• Work with the Director Paid Search and internal teams to uncover client side business needs
• Responsible for guidance of teams reporting into the position.
• Spotlight areas of opportunity to increase account growth based on performance and ROI (or other KPI) goals of the client
• Forecast budgets and revenue based in on historical data and professional opinion
• Provide opportunity analysis based on available inventory
• Operate in an interconnected and transparent manner within the agency framework
• Leads paid search strategy development to support client objectives, bringing together necessary resources for strategy and goal establishment. Ongoing review of goals to ensure success.
• Ability to translate high-level business/marketing objectives into search strategy and into business results
• Retain clients while responsibly navigating attrition risk through close attention to client business and account goals
• Responsible for keeping abreast of search trends as well as the client’s overall business and marketing as a whole, making strategic recommendations when relevant to innovate the program
• Work with paid search practitioners to direct project plan development, deliverable timeline and ensure the team is delivering on schedule to achieve campaign objectives
• Organize and lead in-person client meetings and conference calls, while incorporating staff where needed
• Create and deliver presentations and decks that specifically address client and agency expectations
• Review reporting data and analysis completed by paid search practitioners and make suggestions to improve recommendations when needed
• Administer and adhere to all account security guidelines
