Senior Manager, Winback Marketing

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Winback Marketing, the right candidate will have experience with direct marketing in a subscription based environment, preferably either publishing, credit card services, Television, cable/satellite etc... Job description:
The position is accountable for project/campaign strategy and sales goals, continued improvement of key metrics – i.e. response rate, CPGA, & conversion rate (in conjunction with call center sales team) and compliance with all legal/brand/external partner requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop the strategy, execute, and run campaigns/projects from beginning to end that are designed to win back former subscribers and non-convert trialers and secure subscriptions.
• Identify and analyze trends in campaigns that either help explain success or define a problem. Then, use this information to develop new strategies and move the program forward
• Maximize the effectiveness of projects by building an approach and implementing messaging/offers targeted to different segments
• Continually monitor and evaluate effectiveness of on-going strategies and refine efforts accordingly
• Propose new marketing strategies that incorporate existing and emerging channels (i.e. online web form) as more effective ways to communicate with targets
• Work closely with the Creative and Brand teams to quickly develop new materials/update existing “control” materials and ensure that the creative execution is consistent with strategy
• Understand the different customer segments and their behavior within the target population of programs and campaigns. Accurately identify these segments for list creation (via Marketing BI’s ITQ process) and possibly specific communication touches or cadence
• Manage project/campaign spend to CPGA goals by designing economical creative and working efficiently with print and email vendors
• Project manage by creating/owning a milestone timeline for deliverables, matrix managing stakeholders to support the project/program as needed, make due dates, and deliver as expected or, explain risks/ new developments as they come up
• Review all communications, scripts, test plans and project plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensure accurate and effective implementation/management of all strategies and campaigns/projects by working closely with multiple resources including Marketing BI, Customer Care/Customer Sales, Legal, Brand, Creative, external partner POCs and outside vendors. Must be able to establish productive relationships both across and outside the organization
Track, monitor, analyze, and report out on results of all marketing efforts and tests
• Responsible for achieving sales and CPGA goals set for all projects
• Will lead special Gross Add Winback projects as assigned and take responsibility for ongoing tasks that support the GAWB team

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA in related area or equivalent experience
• Advanced degree preferred
• 10 or more years in related position(s) within comparable/related industry (mainstream subscription services, automotive industry or automotive aftermarket, traditional direct marketing, internet services, entertainment, satellite television, credit card services, or cellular services).

Requirements and General Skills:
• Strong direct marketing, analytical and project/campaign management skills
• Strong people and relationship-building skills
• Strong orientation to detail
• Customer relationship marketing and segmentation marketing experience a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization
• Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
• Self-motivated, proactive team player and independent worker
• Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills
• Pro-actively willing to take initiative and to follow through on projects
• Ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities
• Knowledge/interest in pop culture and mainstream entertainment a plus
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
