Senior Manager, UX

We're currently hiring a Senior Manager, UX for our client in the gaming industry! This particular manager role will be responsible for helping lead the Video Team!

A Senior Manager of UX is a senior level management position in the User Experience (UX) Design team. As members of the UX Design team, you are responsible for the UX design of the user interface both from interaction and visual perspective.

Responsibilities:
• Manages a team of designers, assigning and reviewing tasks across a specific domain area
• Accountable for ensuring the team's design deliverables are high quality and meets the established design standards and guidelines
• Manages activities to create new and evolve existing design models and paradigms as necessary
• Responsible for alignment and consistency for domain
• Manages communication with stakeholders
• Mentor designers toward innovative and creative thinking when approaching design challenges
• Responsible for evolving and adopting new design tools and methods
• Manages partner design teams and consultants and directs their efforts through clear input and review feedback to ensure high quality deliverables that suit the needs of the internal design team


Qualifications:• Minimum BA/BS degree in design related studies is required
• Portfolio demonstrating 12+ years of interaction design, user experience and visual design work
• A robust understanding of industry-standard design software.
• Has expert-level knowledge of multiple areas and is a knowledge-base for the team
• Has extensive experience designing compelling and quality interfaces

Desired qualifications:
• Deep experience working within a technical environment is required
• Deep knowledge in emerging technologies in web, mobile, and other devices is required
• Experience designing for a global audience in multiple languages is required
• Experience with the agile software (SAF) development process is required
• Knowledge of movie, music, and television game service and software industries is required

This is a full-time position. You must work onsite in San Francisco. Client is not open to offsite.
