Senior Manager, Product Development

Drive Brand and Category development by planning and developing new products and launch 
plan for skincare, complexion, Primer category (50% of the business). Senior manager will work 
with Executive Director identifying growth opportunities that drive sales, increase market share, 
build customer loyalty and strengthen brand identity. Marketing & Product development is the 
key point of contact interfacing with R&D, Creative, Packaging, Operations, Finance, Marketing, 
Sales, Merchandising, Education and Global Communications to flawless launch execution. 
Position Reports to ED of Product Development (skincare and complexion) 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: (List what are the main tasks) 
All 3 categories 
- Ensures all product development meets the highest quality standards set by the brand 
- Develops formula and claims by working closely with R&D 
- Leads developing product copies for product inserts 
Skincare & Complexion 
- Ensures all product and collaterals timely launch 
- Creates and updates NPPs / Establish pack out standards for skincare/primer categories 
- Maintains Item Master list, product tracking sheets and all additional calendars and 
forms necessary 
- Tracks and follow-up of all projects, providing status updates on a regular basis 
- Provides all key timeline date approvals (product, testing, package, artwork) 
- Attends bulk trials for new launches when required 
- Oversees the maintenance of all product standards, including setting all transition 
- Coordinating all QA/QC documentation 
- Coordinates regulatory information on new and existing items 
- Assists in review of all launch related copy (Brochures, counter cards, PR files, Training 
manual updates) 
- Coordinates all new product COMPS 
- Write minutes of all meetings when required 

All 3 categories 
- Identify new short term and long term opportunities through competitive analysis, 
industry studies, sales data, as well as SWOT analyses 
- Present business opportunity on SWOT analysis 
- Constantly meets with sub contractors, Raw Material supplier to propose ingredient 
approach / R&D technology to match with new product marketing concept 
- Translates and analyzes competitive analysis, survey, NPD, Mintel and other marketing 
available informational tools for new product ideation and make proposal 
- Summarizes results of testing & review of each product submission (including stylist 
input) and makes suggestion of leanings 
- Prepares brainstorming sessions on new product concepts with Global Marketing and 
helps proposal 
Skincare and complexion 
- Coordinates tracking and communicating approved product ideas from concept to 
finished good 
- Prepares the presentation of new product opportunities into a complete and concise 
proposal for approval 
- Work on feasibility of all ideas with regard to cost, package, formula 
- Develop samples for new product launch 
- Attends trade shows for manufacturer sourcing and generation of ideas 
- Coordinates raw material suppliers with parent company R&D to bring the best formulation to 
support marketing story

 America R&D 

Qualifications & Competencies: (List required or desired education; competencies; experiences; soft & hard skills) 
 BS or BA in Marketing or related field 
 5 + of Prestige Beauty experience, cosmetics related preferable; with a focus on 
skincare product development 
 A passionate, energetic team oriented individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, 
and creative skills 
 A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to 
changing priorities and feedback 
 Proficient in Microsoft (PowerPoint and Excel) 
 Excellent written and verbal communication skill
