Senior Interactive Manager for Fortune 500 Electronic Company

Our high profile, Fortune 500 company is seeking a Director or VP-level candidate to take charge of operating and maintaining key digital entertainment brands through web interfaces (PC Browser and Mobile platforms).

This position absolutely requires a refined, multi-skilled individual with unsurpassed professionalism and interpersonal behaviors who can easily entertain high-level international management at casual events like dinners, golf, etc., while also being able to intelligently, passionately and articulately create, promote and justify online/web strategy. You should be just as comfortable standing in a Tokyo boardroom in a suit, as you are on a golf course in jeans and a polo shirt. Applicants should have a history of interacting with corporate leadership, VP’s, and Boards of directors.

Additionally, candidate will share and defend web site strategies, home page promotions and multi-million dollar budgets to Product Managers who all want their products featured. This person should be able to effectively turn around any concerns about strategy expressed by Product Managers and end up having these people rally behind him/her. This person will be a leader.

Candidates must be Marketing professionals with significant e-commerce experience, and extremely well-versed in P&L, SEO, Web-related Project Management and Agency interaction. The ability to understand the technical side of web production and e-commerce integration is key, as is big brand experience.

This role is focused on managing the product definition and ongoing day-to-day operation of leading edge global eCommerce and digital entertainment brands. These brands include mobile/handheld, e-reader, gaming, consumer electronics and motion picture products/properties. This role will have authority to guide the product requirements process and establish a development and editorial roadmap, based on collaboration with the business units, brand management, marketing, technology, and the rest of the leadership team.

Travel is required. Candidate will travel between Los Angeles, CA, and Foster City, CA, weekly. Additionally, there are week-long trips to Tokyo or London approximately every 6 weeks.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity. Client is open to relocation for the right candidate.

• Collection and documentation of operating business/marketing requirements from global SNEI executive stakeholders including VPs of Global Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology.
• Collection and documentation of all change requests coming from partners and regional office operating teams.
• Management of consumer trend and web analytics team, deciphering and communicating the impact of these trends on documented business goals.
• Strategically develop, manage and execute within site ops budget and deliver positive ROI.
• Ownership and effective negotiation of change request process, including all necessary functional reviews with web engineering team to assess feasibility and release timelines.
• Ownership of all pertinent Creative Briefs, Functional Requirement Briefs and any other documents as means of defining scope for web design and engineering team members.
• Ownership and management of region localization process (vendor support where appropriate).
• Ownership of web product roadmaps and project planning (goals, budget, schedule, and scope).
• Assisting Director of Product Development and VP of Marketing in preparation of correspondence, reports, forms, and presentations related to operation and management of web products.
• Leadership on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) standards and practices.
• Management of consumer email and affiliate marketing programs.
• Coordination and negotiation with all regional Legal Affairs teams and accessibility groups.

• Minimum 10 years of interactive product management experience with digital entertainment brand
• Minimum 5 years experience with top tier SEO, email marketing and/or link share programs
• Demonstrated leadership and management of web/ecommerce or digital entertainment products in multiple regions requiring localized support and maintenance
• Demonstrated web development (SCRUM preferred), or design (UX) management experience
• Proficiency with Project Management methodologies, software tools (Example: Visio, MS Project)
• BS/BA from accredited university, Business/Marketing degree or MBA preferred
