Senior Interaction/UX Designer

We are looking for a passionate candidate who has the ability to produce top-notch wireframes. Reporting to the Director of Design, you will be working with a team of interaction designers and visual designers. Candidates should possess exceptional interaction design skills, as well as user-centered design principals. Candidate must have strong motivation, resourcefulness, and work ethic with the ability to self-manage and shepherd projects from beginning to end, delivering results on deadline.

· Define new approaches to complex design problems and convey solutions in the form of wireframes, prototypes, user flows, site maps and presentations.
· Responsible for all aspects of user experience including: business & user needs analysis, high & low fidelity prototyping and following deployment, monitoring usage and measuring adoption success.
· Communicate design intent to both internal and external teams. Clearly rationalize and justify design work and advocate for user needs.
· Work closely with team of Product Managers, Engineering & QA to help define use cases and think through requirements. Provide concepts when appropriate.
· Deliver wireframes to the engineering team. Follow through and work closely with engineering and QA to ensure quality and integrity of the design is maintained through release.
· Assist the usability and research team with validating and measuring user experience success via usability testing and focus groups.
· Advocate for creative excellence and design quality.


Desired Skills and Experience
Job Qualifications:

· 5+ years professional Interaction Design/UX experience.
· Self-starter that can work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
· Expert skills with Omnigraffle (or equivalent.) Experience with Axure and creating prototypes highly desired. Ability to work in Photoshop and create visual designs a plus.
· Working knowledge cross-platform: web, mobile web, iOS and Android. Mobile design experience is a must.
· Experience working with highly interactive and/or transactional systems (e.g., search, eCommerce, travel) a plus.
· Proven ability to work in an agile, collaborative development environment in which feedback loops between product, design and engineering are open and constant.
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant design, psychology, or technology field or relevant work experience is required.
· Must provide online portfolio with links to live sites.
