Senior Interaction Designer (UX)

Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analyze and expand interaction language based on product parameters, design requirements and technical constraints.
• Provide simple, scalable interaction models and navigation system solutions; create activity flows, user task analysis, personas, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Visually communicate and test design assumptions efficiently following efficient methods.
• Deliver UX solutions within an Agile development process. Document UI specifications that effectively communicate the interaction and behavior of the design system.
• Collaborate closely with research, visual design, content strategy, front-end development to conceptualize, design and prototype innovative, highly usable application, UI design patterns.
• Work with design management establishing UX best practices to increase communication among teams.
• Provide elegant solutions under tight deadlines, balancing business objectives and customer benefit.
• Present designs to cross-functional teams and negotiate trade-offs.
• Manage all aspect of project cycle, ensure milestones are met and track issues and recommend solutions.
• Contribute to the design standards and promote user-centered design throughout the organization. Develop guidelines, standards, user-centered design processes.
• Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change.
• Candidate must have examples they can show that demonstrate strategic creative thinking and be able to articulate why they made specific decisions to meet strategic objectives.

Skills:
• Have a “list maker” as opposed to “list taker” mindset. Need to be able to assess the project needs and figure out what needs to be done from a UX perspective.
• Process driven, demonstrate strong interaction design skills, careful attention to details and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles, agile design and development process.
• Knowledgeable of best practices of all major best of breed mobile interfaces.
• Inspired by the challenge of quickly distilling complex problems into clean, simple design solutions.
• Experienced creating production quality design assets and UI specific documentations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Proficiency with major design and prototyping tools; and trending UI design methods.

Experience:
• 6+ Solid experience in working through the entire software product life cycle, and familiar with user-centered design methods.
• 4+ years of designing UI solutions for multiple mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, Android phones, etc).
