Senior Interaction Designer

The Senior Interaction Designer will work closely with several cross-functional teams including other design organizations, business analysts, business owners and engineering groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Translate user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for application, web and mobile experiences
• Gather and synthesize business requirements and input from multiple sources including customers, stakeholders, business architects, and engineers
• Design user interfaces to improve user productivity, discoverability and simplicity
• Create alternative design solutions, evaluating them to choose the best approach
• Meet and collaborate with users and business partners to validate conceptual designs
• Develop UX documentation (i.e. use cases, wire frames, conceptual models, user interaction flow diagrams, page schematics, prototypes)
• Deliver design documentation for use by a wide range of audiences including Product Owners and UI Development teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in HCI, Interaction Design, or other relevant field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience design work
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles
• Familiarity with usability research methods
• Experience developing both sketches, wireframes and page schematics
• Ability to handle multiple design projects concurrently
• Solid understanding of web design and development process, including the technologies used to deliver web experiences
• Understand the feasibility of different designs and performance implications
• Experience working in an Agile development environment a plus
• Experience using design and prototyping tools (Fireworks, OmniGraffle, Balsamiq, etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Fast learner, self-starter, Team player

You must show a portfolio that demonstrates superior Interaction Design skills along with your process and thinking.
