Join the our client’s team as a Sr. Interaction Designer to help create an amazing user experience for their product, the innovative platform that allows business people to rapidly create powerful and sophisticated web and mobile business apps, automate processes, and improve team communication and collaboration. All in without coding.

Our client is already helping thousands of business solve their most pressing application needs. And now they are investing heavily in new technology and creating a new user experience to revolutionize their products, upping the ante on the easiest, most powerful platform ever for creating and using business apps.

As a Senior Interaction Designer you will lead design for a broad area. You are equally adept at identifying users needs, generating multiple concepts, and enjoy diving into the smallest design details. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring customer benefits to life.

This is a wildly unique opportunity to get in at the beginning stages of a complete reimagining of an existing business process application. After 15 years it's time to make the product more modern, more user friendly and more robust. You'll be part of the design team that's tearing down the existing product and reimagining it into a NO CODE APP. You'll help build the app so it's understandable to people who don't understand databases. By the end of 2017 or Q1 2018 the product will launch but there's a lot to do before then! You'll work with a team and be aligned to a particular domain or feature set of the product. This is a very high profile position and there's loads of opportunity to do important work and make a difference straight away.

Responsibilities:
• Lead interaction design for a broad product area
• Accelerate game-changing design by defining creative, intuitive and delightful user experience solutions
• Participate in customer research and validation to ensure your design meets and exceeds customer expectations
• Develop workflow diagrams, storyboards, wireframes, and mockups of your designs
• Build functional interactive prototypes for testing and demonstration to the team
• Work seamlessly as a key team member on cross-functional product teams, with designers, writers, product managers and engineers.
• Work with researchers to define user testing, analyze and present the conclusions and recommendations
• Produce user interface feature specs, patterns, and guidelines
• Collaborate with the product development team to implement the specifications


In-depth, practical knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices, user research methodologies, Web 2.0 and Mobile industry standards and trends.

Requirements:
• Experience designing interactive web-based applications or products. Experience in responsive design for mobile and tablet devices is highly desirable.
• Sufficient familiarity with HTML, CSS 3, and JavaScript to create interactive prototypes using those technologies
• Experience developing design deliverables to effectively communicate functional behavior to stakeholders.
• Lean startup mentality to quickly propose and test to discover what works
• Self-motivation to learn the business processes and user needs of any project.
• Experience working and building consensus in agile, cross-discipline teams incorporating creative, technology, strategy and marketing functions. Ability to effectively negotiate conflict and persuade others on the merits of a design or other user experience solutions.
• Ability to assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical, and user constraints.
• Skill in your favorite design tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch) but equally skilled in creating lo-fi prototypes for quick experiments
• Visual design experience is a big plus.
• Great writing skills for both communicating designs and incorporating text into the interface
