As an Instructional Designer, you will design, build, and maintain processes and standards that raise the bar for efficiency, reusability of content, and improved learning delivery for a team of talented Business Instructors. You will contribute to learning project efforts in designing and developing deliverables of other designers on the team. Your creativity, passion for learning, and ability to deliver effective learning solutions should be a role model for the team. Here are some of the expectations for this exciting role: - Identify and implement smart content strategies to accelerate creation and maintenance through reusability and contributed content - Identify and champion the use of new learning technologies for the team and help us scale them - Design learning content that captures and tracks trending of learner reaction, retention, transfer, and business metrics results to help our shape future direction - Contribute to efforts to improve collaboration with internal and external groups and improve the quality of the team’s deliverables - Assist in the intake process for internal and external training requests – building credible relationships with stakeholders and SMEs; help in workload balancing and prioritization efforts for all requests - Share ID team results through weekly business reviews and status updates to stakeholders and become a trusted business partner with our key stakeholders - Drive innovation in content design, development, and delivery methods across the Enabling Services team with an emphasis on collaborative and virtual technologies to meet our changing and expanding needs - Provide additional design and development capacity for a high performing ID team.
Practical experience applying instructional design and curriculum development methodologies and learning strategies in corporate learning programs. · Proven effectiveness in creating learning solutions that achieve desired business results by collaborating, negotiating, and interviewing business partners and Subject Matter Experts. · Strong strategic planning and project management capabilities, outstanding cross-divisional collaboration skills in a global organization. · Outstanding organizational agility (able to identify and work with many groups to achieve results), the ability to lead and drive change and a proven ability to maneuver through unstructured problems and create the necessary structure to drive results. · Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. · Exceptional project management skills that deliver the right results on time and effectively manage scope, schedule, and resources. · Demonstrated experience developing Level 3 learning content (video, voice talent, animation, interactive games etc.), performance support aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials. · Proficiency with MS Office tools and collaboration and learning technology. · Expertise in development tools such as, Articulate Story Line 2, Camtasia, Adobe After Effects, PowToon, Piktochart, Emaze, · Current on instructional design research and current events in the corporate education industry · At least 8-10 years’ experience in an instructional design senior role. · Bachelor’s degree or significant college course work, preferably in a communication, education or related field. · Can conceptualize technical-functional content into something creative that people actually enjoy consuming. · You write well, you think creatively, you have a sense of humor, and you are extremely flexible. Preferred Qualifications Degree in a relevant field, such as Instructional Technology or Instructional Systems Design, Interactive Media, Technical Writing, and Education Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.).
