Senior Graphic Director

The Senior Designer/Art Director will collaborate closely with the Creative Director to provide conceptual and stylistic direction for the design team to provide excellent, leading-edge creative work that consistently supports our brands. The Art Director will be responsible for the development and execution of original creative concepts for print, digital and interactive mediums. He/she will work with various designers, copywriters, account managers, product managers, content strategists, and interactive and front-end developers. We are looking for a person who is passionate about design and enjoys collaborating with other smart people to resolve tough design challenges.

The ideal candidate must also possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong writing skills and a willingness to learn the features and benefits of our products. He or she is undaunted by the newest creative tools and ready to do whatever it takes to complete a project by the deadline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and frame creative concepts according to creative brief requirements
• Direct creative work to support our brand, culture, team, capabilities, expectations, working style and other elements and provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables
• Present succinct ideas and persuasive rationales for campaign approaches to clients
• Apply visual systems of brand identity, including typography, photography and color appropriately to devise innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
• Produce and manage photo and video shoots and corresponding logistics
• Continually study the creative marketplace to propose and implement solutions to competitive threats
• Constantly improve creative quality and expand our in-house capabilities
• Manage outside resources, including outside agencies, photographers, photographic retouchers, freelancers, and web and interactive subcontractors

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 10 years design experience with large clients, several years of leadership experience and proven project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
• Experience leading a team of designers, art directors, production specialists and writers
• Significant brand-building experience including concept development, website design, identity design and marketing campaign development
• Strong ability in effective communication with creative professionals and various levels of management
• Demonstrated talent for high-caliber, creative concepting and writing
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and the full Adobe Creative Suite including web authoring/motion graphic tools
• Experience working in the B to B space is a plus
• Understanding of HTML5/CSS3, AJAX, popular JavaScript libraries (jQuery Ext JS, etc.), cross-browser compatibility, mobile (touch) interfaces, user experiences and visual prototypes is a plus
