This is a contract to hire position with converting salary of $70K.
The Lead Designer will support their manager in maintaining schedules and priorities for the Team, and provide supervision to help keep people on track to ensure that goals are met. He/she will anticipate problems and opportunities, evaluate processes and bring recommendations and solutions to his/her manager. They will work with or in place of their manager in assessing Team capacity and will assign work accordingly. The Lead Designer is responsible for creating and executing design concepts, will demonstrate an ability to recognize and generate productive and credible solutions to design challenges independently, and should be able to present their work articulately and confidently to business partners and peers. They will assume full ownership of assigned projects. He/she will also assist with production edits as required. They will support and influence brand standards and apply them appropriately to create visual solutions that meet business and user needs and maintain brand continuity. The Lead Designer will recognize when creative is not on strategy, will develop solutions and share with Agency partners to ensure strategic objectives are met. The Lead Designer must be versatile in multiple types of marketing communications and possess ability to move quickly and comfortably between projects while maintaining timely, accurate and high-quality work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: %Time
1. Generate innovative, on brand and effective design solutions for print and web. Provide successful well-balanced design options while ensuring brand consistency and campaign graphic integration throughout all communication materials. Use strong graphic design skill sets that include a keen eye for layout, typography, color and brand integrity. Provide leadership that will facilitate fresh innovative ideas for creative execution support 60%
2. Provide daily production support for CSS and Agency, this includes, use of publishing tools, prepress, imaging, edits, versioning, assisting in the preparation of materials for presentations and reviews, for both print and electronic) 20%
3. Provide leadership that fosters collaborative team commitment and enthusiasm that results in a team that is committed to each other. 10%
4. Execute many different types of communications and move quickly between multiple jobs while maintaining high levels of creative and production standards. Flexibility in managing and prioritizing high workload volume, ensure critical milestones dates are met.
