Senior Graphic Designer

One of our clients is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer! This role is temp to perm and starts ASAP. The designer must sit onsite in their Chestnut Hill, MA office.

The client: one of the world's largest privately own retail development firms. The ideal candidate will come from a background in agency, retail, luxury, and/or fashion.

The Senior Graphic Designer lives and breathes design, typography, color theory, and composition. He/she will be responsible for creating stunning visuals for both print and digital media. The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative Operations Manager and Creative Director to meet the graphic design needs of us.

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Conceptualize and develop high quality, creative and professional marketing and public relations materials.
• Core competencies include graphic design skills, knowledge of desktop publishing tools, creativity, flexibility, attention to detail and deadline oriented.
• Technical skills, organization, clear communicator and problem solving ability.
• Ability to understand a variety of audiences, including the difference between messages geared to retailers vs. customers/community or business to business.
• Ability to multi-task and manage last minute deadlines.
WORK TO INCLUDE:
• Design and produce marketing materials including fact sheets, property books, e-mail blasts, invitations, announcements, presentations, maps and aerials, using corporate brand standard templates.
• Brainstorm and mock up design ideas, present ideas to/ meet with internal constituents, adjust designs to fit constituents’ needs.
• Create and redesign existing drawings, brochures, lease plans, and site maps.
• Manage various assignments simultaneously including, but not limited to, design and layout of brochures, presentations, and special events, and supporting collateral and graphics for email and social media, and special projects.
• Determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects.
• Work with others, such as printers and other technicians, to complete the final product.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

• Masters in Graphic Arts or related field
• Prior experience at Advertising Agency or within the fashion/luxury industry
• Strong typography skills
• In depth knowledge of offset print and visual display production
• Excellent communication skills, specifically a demonstrated ability to present creative ideas
• Self-starter, must be organized and able to act and follow through on projects independently
• Ability to reprioritize projects and workflow based on business needs
• Proven ability to manage relationships and drive process in a team environment
• Excellent eye for UI
• Proficiency in design software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign.
• Experience with email marketing tools such as Constant Contact, and familiarity with mapping programs such as Google Earth. Experience with a demographic package such as Nielsen iXPress is a plus.
