Our large financial client seeks a Sr. Designer for a possible contract to hire role in Dallas, TX. The maximum hourly pay rate for this engagement is $29.00

As Senior Designer, you'll prepare original art for print and electronic media. To achieve this, you'll produce creative layout and high-level design, transforming ideas into powerful concepts that meet business needs. You'll continuously enhance your design skills, and your knowledge of design, brand standards and production techniques.

You'll manage complex design projects from concept through production and delivery. This will involve balancing multiple priorities concurrently, establishing timelines and estimates, and identifying key resources. You'll be a mentor, and a source of knowledge, for Creative Services Group (CSG) staff and customers. In addition, you'll serve as CSG project manager, and work effectively in a team environment.

A Senior Design Coordinator you'll work independently, with periodic performance and work reviews. Overtime is required, as necessary, often on a last-minute basis. You may be required to travel off-site or as part of a project team providing design and conceptualization.

Ability to translate strategic needs into creative concepts, and produce, professional, practical deliverables, that are aligned with business needs
Develop high-level concepts, and design innovative ideas for print and electronic deliverables, supporting the brand
Work with multimedia staff, to provide structure, visual comps and basic programming, to create multimedia presentations, web design banners and on-screen presentations
Construct files, utilizing master pages and style sheets to complete assignments
Develop leading practices, utilizing up-to-date techniques, equipment and advancements within the design community
Produce creative, interactive presentations or proposals, using a variety of software and delivery methods
Mentor CSG staff in the use of brand standards, design principles, software, processes and design industry knowledge
Help establish vendor lists. Build relationships with vendors, and work with them to produce and deliver products and services
Arrange project meetings and discussions on appropriate graphic methods/techniques, to meet project requirements
Persuade customers to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables, within budget
Gain strong knowledge of the brand, and raise brand awareness
Cross-train in additional CSG functions to provide flexibility of resource
Act as a project manager, to communicate and negotiate project deadlines, project scope, cost estimates and schedule changes as necessary
Understand and strictly adhere to the quality standards and procedures, including CSG standards and guidelines
Utilize the database, to confirm all time and materials are billed correctly, and that project instructions and customer interactions are fully documented
Develop team momentum, through being a good team member and/or leader, promoting and sharing leading practices with Enterprise Support Services/CSG staff
Produce designs that meet end-user as well as internal customer's needs

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills
High-level concept-to-design skills
Strong portfolio with a variety of current design work
Advanced technical understanding of print production, both in-house and with external vendors
Ability to project manage multiple assignments, and facilitate meetings
Knowledge of Flash and Dreamweaver
Ability to sell designs to meet business, time and budget requirements

Advanced expertise with graphics software tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.
Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues in graphic files for prepress, printing, web and onscreen viewing, linking graphics, including fonts and creating color separations
Exceptional knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, giving legibility and functionality
Proficiency in standard loadset including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and with relevant equipment

A minimum of 4-8 years of related design experience

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, and/or related discipline
