Senior Graphic Designer

Senior Designer needed to concept and design branded marketing collateral and advertising. In addition to the graphic design functions, the Senior Designer is a key member of creative concepting teams that help define and execute on project objectives. The Senior Designer provides leadership to the creative team as necessary and develops innovative graphic design solutions and studio processes. The Senior Designer’s tasks include but are not limited to:
- Develop graphic design solutions and executions for a greater proportion of highly visible projects, including campaigns, product launches, rebranding initiatives, and marquee house projects.
- Art direct photo shoots as required.
- Assist Associate Creative Director (and Creative Director, as required) in evaluating design studio projects against project criteria, brand identity standards, and strategic member/marketing goals.
- Demonstrate innovative use of graphic standards in executing design solutions.
- Work with Brand Planning and creative leadership to refine and update the graphic standards and photography guidelines as necessary.

5-7 years experience in marketing communications design.
Fluency in design and office applications including Adobe Creative Suite 5, Word, PPT, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams on concurrent projects and consistently delivery work on deadline.

Collaborative environment of over 100 team members including art directors, designers, writers, editors, proofreaders, traffic, production designers, print production, brand strategists, and more
Primarily print-driven environment with opportunities to collaborate and contribute to digital workstreams and campaigns.

Scope of project:
Candidate will be required to drive multiple projects at once including those of varying complexity and scope, and ranging in tone from informational to promotional

Top 5 daily responsibilities:
Partner with content team (writers and editors) in producing, compelling, easy-to-understand, on brand communications
Collaborate with designers, copywriters, editors, proofreaders, traffic coordinators, project management and account service in successfully meeting project criteria outlined in creative briefs
Actively bridge member and business interests to satisfy needs of client and brand through account service and project management relationships
Develop and execute presentations for Consumer-focused market that explain and sell the rationale of creative solutions to a variety of audiences (managers, clients, account teams, executives, etc.)

Educational requirements:
Degree in graphic design and/or communications. BS preferred or similar industry experience.
