Senior Email Marketing Manager

You won't be a cog in the machine, you will be the machine. Think lean. They'll challenge you to automate their processes, reporting and communications at scale. The solution may be complex, but to the customer, it should appear simple. Being a part of the Marketing team, you'll work closely with their amazing data gurus, CRM, social and campaign managers.

You will shine in the following areas:

- Curating code that is optimised to engage customers across email, web, mobile and push
- Focusing on QA testing across all campaign elements
- Data maintenance and manipulation services, including imports, exports, parsing, queries and overall database hygiene. Data is gold, it should be handled with care.
- Measure twice, cut once. Be data informed and data-driven to drive the machine.
- Mac-Gyver-like troubleshooting when troubles arise, particularly email. Be solution focussed.
- Improving segmentation, process and campaign performance through analysis and insight
- Undertaking a holistic view to assist performance across the wiser business
- Testing and automating
- Creating the intersection between customer need and business imperative

Desired Skills and Experience

They are looking for a top-notch Email Marketing Samurai, someone who walks in the customers' shoes, and then makes better shoes. With a passion for numbers, you will dream big and be a storyteller. You will immerse yourself in the code, big data is fun to you. The details matter to you, you'd know if there was a pea under your mattress.

The Samurai we are looking for will have a knack for making the right trade-offs to balance timely delivery and final products. You will use your skills to solve problems, be open to change and not be afraid to raise flags.

You will also need to have:

- Self-confidence and decision-making skills
- The ability to build emails that look beautiful across all devices
- High HTML / CSS with SQL knowledge
- Email deployment and campaign automation experience
- Proactive and efficiency
- Big picture thinking
- UX / IA
- Basic copywriting
- Glean insights from large data sets
- Can withstand dad jokes
- ExactTarget, SalesForce, SQL, Altyrex and Tableau are not essential, but they will get you bonus points.
