Senior Editor

The senior editor writes, edits and oversees writing and editing of engaging, informative and actionable communications that effectively support CCG and their customers’ objectives. The senior writer/editor also manages and coordinates materials through internal and external review processes.

Key responsibilities:

-Writes and edits healthcare, wellness, and benefits communications for a variety of media including, but not limited to, brochures, post cards and other print materials, and electronic communications, including emails, web, digital, etc.
-Manages multiple project requests working closely with colleagues to establish and manage timelines, communicate progress to colleagues and meet deadlines.
-Builds and maintains relationships with freelance and internal writers. Assign projects to writers based on writing requirements and writer strengths, style, etc. Oversee writing and editing portion of project as part of overall project management.
-Coordinates periodic updates and “training” for writers to keep them current with our client and customer brand standards, our clients products and services, CCG requirements. Shares best practices.
-Builds and maintains relationships with key resource experts both within and outside of CCG and our client. Proactively collaborates and consults with CCG team, internal and external customers to understand their needs and challenges to create communication solutions that effectively and creatively meet audience needs.
-Assists in establishing budgets for projects’ writing/editorial services.
-Serves as the primary editorial resource for assigned brand guidlenes.
-Provide direction and recommendations to support CCG’s targeted audience efforts including developing writing tone and style for various segments.
-Edits, styles, and formats a full range of print and multimedia materials to the highest standards; ensures they adhere to client and in house house styles. Fact checks materials to ensure accuracy (we also have a Jr. Editor to support editing function).
-Manages/coordinates materials through internal and external processes (QCC, Legal, etc.)
-Ensures client and account comments are accurately incorporated.
-Formats materials that do not go through Creative (eg, PowerPoint, Word).
