Expert educational editor needed to review and guide development of learning products. Success in this position requires a focus on early childhood education and editorial excellence. A proven talent for leading editorial development on deadline-driven projects must be matched by an understanding and appreciation of young children, great interpersonal skills, and the dedication to aim for the highest quality.

Responsibilities * Lead the development of print and classroom projects from concept stage through completion. * Guide the creation of editorial content in the following early- learning subjects: language arts, the arts, math, science, English language learning, and good citizenship. * Edit learning content in the form of manuscripts, proofs, lesson plans, and other media. * Collaborate with colleagues and outside contributors in building a learning brand that provides the best in children's educational products. * Work with a team in brainstorming ideas and assessing product plans across media platforms, copyediting, and checking a product, series, or multi-component project.

Skills * Educational editing experience. * An unerring sense of what helps young children learn while having fun. * Expertise in a few of the following subjects for ages two to eight is a plus: language arts, language learning, math, science, creativity, and good citizenship. * Strong narrative, educational-activity, and communication abilities. * Pro-active, positive attitude and mission ownership. * Enjoys working on a varied slate of projects simultaneously * Word, Excel, Acrobat Pro or Standard.
