Senior Director - Marketing Analytics

Our top payment technology client is looking for a Senior Marketing Analytics Director in the SF bay area. This is for a 6 month contract (with potential for conversion to full time or extension).

This position will lead the marketing analytics efforts for the launch of a Checkout – payment product solution. In this role, they will be the internal thought leader and authority within research and marketing analytics on all analytics reporting for Checkout across merchants and issuers and consumers. They are looking for someone with solid experience in analytics & reporting on DTC campaigns, email campaigns / promo ROI, setting up testing plans and conducting analysis of the results.

The role will also have an external facing element particularly in setting KPI’s and creating individual dashboards for key merchants and issuers. You will also be responsible for analyzing usage patterns among the enrollee base to identify marketing opportunities.


Specific responsibilities will include:

• Development, maintenance, and sharing of a marketing dashboard
• Development, maintenance and sharing of issuer and merchant dashboards
• Exploratory data mining to identify business and marketing opportunities
• Descriptive and predictive modeling to target campaigns more effectively
• Marketing campaign measurement and analysis
• Collaboration with technology organization to develop and maintain marketing analytics environment
• Collaboration with Research and Finance organizations on marketing ROI analysis
• Collaboration with media vendors on campaign tracking and measurement
• List pulls for marketing campaigns and market research surveys
• Collaborate with marketing in development of white papers proving positive impact of Checkout on merchants, issuers and consumers

8-12 years of marketing analytics experience in a highly analytical environment
High proficiency with one or more of the following: SAS, SPSS, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Access, and Hadoop and experience with Micro Strategy, Unica
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for senior management consumption
Comfortable in executive and client presentations
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Bachelor degree required. MBA/MS or Ph.D. in statistics, accounting, finance, or economics preferred
