Senior Digital Project Manager

The Senior Digital Project Manager role requires a full understanding of digital project lifecycles and the ability to coordinate all aspects of ‘the project’ from essential admin tasks through client liaison to physical delivery / reconciliation. The Senior Project Manager needs to work closely with Account Teams, Creative Producers and Project Coordinators to support all project-related tasks.

Experience
• Minimum of five years in an equivalent role within a similar sized & quality organisation
• Core project management skills across a wide set of competencies
• Assessing briefs and applying the correct framework/ methodology to new projects.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of digital and media projects – film & video / interactive application / online and mobile technologies
• This person will have experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Working and reporting directly to clients

Qualifications & Skills
• Formal project management qualification preferable (Prince2, PMI, Agile, Scrum)
• Previous experience working with Smartsheets is preferable
• Willing to work under pressure and out of usual office hours on occasion
• Able to format and report information clearly and constructively
• Responsive: adaptable in changing circumstances and able to react to urgent requests
• Offering a good understanding of MS Excel (essential) and Mac operating systems
• Multitasking: able to coordinate multiple tasks / projects and prioritise time accordingly
• Scheduling: create and manage real-time schedules with project specific and account activity

Key Responsibilities – General
• Develop project briefs with clear timescales, scopes and resource requirements in conjunction with the Lead Producer or Account Manager
• Gather input from clients, users and other members of the team to create audit documentation, wireframes and storyboards, functional and technical specifications, and project plans
• Recruit (with approval from line manager) and lead cross- functional teams (design, technology, etc.) for the delivery of digital/interactive projects
• Oversee design, development, production and testing of digital projects – reporting any potential disputes, changes to requirements or project slippage
• Work with internal teams and third parties to ensure that all aspects of projects are delivered accurately and to required deadlines
• Consider the long term aspects of the role and each account, seeking new opportunities & innovations
• Maintain and create existing project management processes and templates, requesting support on modifications if required. Including but not limited to Budget templates, time tracking processes, project documentation (eg SOW’s, debrief reports) and Change request procedures

Creative
• Be passionate about delivering the best creative work
• Understand the client’s overall business objectives and strategies and how the digital aspect of a project fits into to that overall business strategy
• Provide guidance and problem solving support to the production team and seek solutions to help the creative team deliver as much as possible within time and budget constraints
• Interpret the creative team’s vision accurately and with sensitivity

Budget and Cost control
• Work with the Head of Voice to report forecasts and budget statuses to the client
• Manage and own all project budgets, including timely reconciliations
• Confirm that accurate, researched and calculated information is included in the overall budget scope and that this fully covers all project deliverables
• Run an effective tender process for key project expenditures; format information into a matrix document (template available) for clear and transparent comparison of costs
• Monitor timesheet records and report progress; track changes and raise potential risks or overruns; use these records to guide the project delivery, management of resources and deadline scheduling
