Senior Digital Designer (retail fashion)

JOB TITLE: Senior Digital Designer
SECTOR: High-street retail fashion
ROLE: Temp-to-perm placement
SALARY: £35 - £40k

Our client, a high-street fashion retailer, is looking for a talented Senior Digital Designer to join their creative studio. Working within the online & ecommerce team, alongside marketing team, you will be involved in various digital projects covering brand, marketing, campaigns and user experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for digital creative who is full of ideas and passionate about the fashion industry & digital innovation.

Please note a solid awareness of coding is necessary, solid understanding of technical capabilities of platforms required to brief developers on build.

Responsibilities
- Develop creative digital strategy, developing innovative digital campaign ideas & editorial concepts.
- Working to brief, build and budget.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Solid technical knowledge across design programs and digital platforms, able to instruct design decisions.
- Improving functionality and aesthetic of digital site/s (eg. emails, Facebook, Twitter, mobile, apps, in-store and ecommerce).
- Develop user experience, create wireframes for customer journey, maintain awareness of customer behaviour to maximise sales online.
- Working with offline designers to ensure integrated projects are consistent across all media.
- Working to and developing brand / campaign style across all digital assets (eg. screen layouts, colour palettes, interface elements, typography, iconography).
- Art direction of photoshoots
- Always keeping updated with digital trends / innovations / competitors, evaluating creative and the creative process.
- Mentoring more junior members of the design team.

Required Skills
- Awareness of contemporary digital design, strong interest in fashion, digital & ecommerce.
- Proven experience with digital interface design, preferably within ecommerce or retail.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of design software, including Adobe CS & Quicktime
- Solid knowledge of coding and development process – site limitations, technical development needed to brief / direct developers on build.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately across multiple projects, juggle changing priorities – very organised.
- Strong work ethic, ability to show initiative, enthusiasm & drive to constantly improving digital content and interaction.
