Senior Digital Designer

A sound design thinker with a proven track record in delivering major brand initiatives and communications, the Senior Designer will be a key team member who is responsible for producing design work of consistently excellent quality, clearly communicates and justifies concepts and visual direction, directs the collaborative efforts of a large group of creative professionals, fosters an environment of professional growth and inspires others to exceed expectations. A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process is essential to performing this challenging role. Working in a multi-brand business, the Senior Designer will also be an efficient time manager capable of juggling a variety of client deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Challenges:
• Contribute design solutions and innovations that strengthen the brand.
• Promote continual improvement and a culture of excellence and accountability through driving:
o Design discipline excellence
o Improved working practises
o Practical expertise
• Effectively communicate creative ideas and strategies to all project stakeholders and clients, in particularly working closely with the creative teams.
• Responsible for hands-on day-to-day delivery for a broad range of clients.
• Develop & deliver innovative creative to capture both account growth and new business opportunities. Delivering timely, innovative design and solutions to website and communications briefs.
• Ensuring the creative excellence and quality assurance on the design work he/she delivers.
• Understand, embrace and support the agencies creative vision by promoting creativity internally.
• Proactively manage the design success of projects.
• Passionate and active member of creative/design & delivery teams

Required Knowledge and Skills (essential):
• Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
• Strong design portfolio with at least 5 years’ experience in an Integrated Advertising, DM or Digital agency with a strong digital portfolio
• Experience developing digital commerce, marketing and online brand management and integration, with demonstrated results. An enthusiastic design talent with a superb broad-minded portfolio
• An understanding and appreciation for the distinction between creative expression and commercial reality
• Excellent Advanced Software skills in mainstream applications: Photoshop/ Illustrator/ Flash/ Office etc
• Hons Degree in Art & Design/ Advertising/ Communications
• S/he must have superb Design understanding and knowledge
• Able to demonstrate experience of working within teams
• Brand-literate
• Able to deliver to long and short deadlines

Other Knowledge and Skills (desirable):
• Experience of working in social media, mobile, APP, integrated campaign and site build work
• Knowledge of coding
• Experience of mentoring more junior members of staff
• Able to present ideas and solutions
