Senior Digital Designer

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position plays a key key role on the digital creative team. The Sr. Designer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the look and feel of email, site assets, and other online programs & digital work. This position will help the digital team create elevated visuals and systems for some of our largest digital campaigns with a focus on overseeing banner ads & other digital marketing initiatives. This position will work very closely with other designers and will help support the growing team. This position will directly report to the Sr. Art Director.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design highly elevated creative for our Site Assets, Banner Ads, Emails, Social Platforms, Digital Marketing Communications
* Crucial to this role is understanding story telling within these spaces and a desire to bring new ideas (conceptually and technically): social ads, videos ads, new client acquisition, app downloads, in-store drivers, youtube acquisition, new product launches, etc
* Additionally we will always be looking for opportunistic, new ad platforms which may require someone to be nimble on these occasions
• Create unique and consistent digital campaigns
• Push the creative for innovative templates while partnering with both Editorial and Marketing teams
• Concept for larger campaign pitches with visual mood boards
• Present work to the senior team
• Meet with team daily to status and check-in on all projects
• Take initiative in working closely with all cross-functional teams
• Work on multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining the highest quality and within tight deadlines
• Establish the design parameters, specifications, for assigned design projects
• Generate assets based on undeveloped and existing creative directions for on-line applications and site development


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of web and interactive design experience
• Expert in Photoshop and organizing files, layer comps a MUST!
* Must have 360 digital campaign experience. Specifically: background in digital advertising including digital banners, as well as email and understanding the digital path to purchase
• Excellent typography, illustration skills, basic knowledge of HTML a plus
• Needs to have a strong foundational type/design eye
• BA degree in Graphic Design/related field or equivalent work experience
• Must possess excellent layout/design/production skills
• Has managed another designer or production designer(s)
• Must have a team mentality and good work ethic
• Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
• Ability to produce effective ideas under tight timelines
• Ability to take direction and prioritize tasks
• Self-motivated, a natural problem-solver, and a good communicator with a demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Willing and able to contribute to the creative spirit and teamwork
• Proficient in Photshop!
• Interest and/or experience in beauty is a plus but not necessary
