Senior Digital Art Director/ Creative Director

WANTED: High level Art Director to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio in a contract-to-hire position. This is a fantastic opportunity that could offer a huge step in your career with a highly visable retail company. The Art Director, eCommerce and Digital Marketing position is a key leader of the creative team. This person will own the development of inspired, original designs for all eCommerce compositions as well as lead the execution of emails, digital marketing and social media assets. The ideal candidate must be focused on detail-oriented design to make sure the interface is stylistically consistent and accurate. The right candidate is a talented designer and leader who is ambitious and passionate about web\interface design and fashion. If you have prior experience in an ecommerce setting and an interest in the fashion world then this is a match made in heaven. Furthermore, in this role, you will partner with Merchandising and Marketing to deliver a compelling online experience for the customer, encouraging repeat business. An expert understanding of responsive design is required because this person will be 100% responsible for the website (which is responsive). In other words, you should eat and breath digital design. Prior management experience is crucial as you will be overseeing 2 senior designers who both manage a team of junior designers. This position will report to the VP of design.

Responsibilities: >Lead a team of designers to create original content that is truly inspired and brand-right. >Partner with the Design Team, Marketing and Merchants in the development of ecommerce assets including home pages, banner ads, landing pages, micro sites etc. >Develop a broad range of creative solutions and concepts that are new, fresh and exciting. >Passionate about the creative with an eye towards future opportunity. >Manager project timelines to ensure that email updates are on time and complete. >Concept seasonal campaigns. >Deliver creative solutions that are on brand and on time

Qualifications: >Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, Illustration, or Industrial Design from accredited university or institute.
>7+ years as a Graphic Designer with 5+ years in the digital space – web, email, social media, etc. >Fashion retail graphic design experience. >An extremely strong portfolio demonstrating proven talent through a continuous string of successful web based projects. >Proven ability to lead a team of talented designers. >Very strong cross-functional partnership, collaboration, and communication skills. >Demonstrated proficiency in design software by creating layouts and concept presentations. >Must have proficient knowledge of the following software: Adobe inDesign CS6, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe, HTML5/CSS3.
