Senior Data Analyst - Marketing & Creative Market Dynamics

The Consumer Loyalty and Retention group is responsible for developing and implementing targeted direct marketing strategies to support organizational growth objectives. In general, this position is responsible for using known analytic methods to implement business solutions and to support management decision-making.

The Senior Data Analyst position is responsible for facilitating reporting to internal and external clients; validating data (Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading); documenting data interchange between Client and assigned vendors, and campaign analysis. The position may also assist in the development of new marketing analytics and performance measurement tools related to the assigned projects as appropriate.

Experience with MMGR, MDW, GEMS, CIMP databases and SAS preferred.

Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Under supervision, design and execute complex analytics projects that involve data collection and analysis for a broad array of retention issues across disciplines and functional areas
2. Assist in development and maintenance of data collection and analytic tools, including databases (MMGR, MDW, GEMS, CIMP) and related systems
3. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for data systems, and assist data collection and validation
4. Uses multivariate statistical analysis techniques to analyze data and produce preliminary reports

Top 3-5 Required Skills:
1. 1-3 years experiences in SAS programming in DATA STEPS, PROCS, and MACRO
2. Experience in database queries and manipulation in SQL
3. Subject Matter Expert for internal data systems, especially membership and marketing campaign data

Desired Skills:
1. Prior experience in MMGR, MDW, GEMS, CIMP
2. Multivariate statistical analysis technique preferred
3. Experience in data analysis with SAS(R) preferred
4. Knowledge of relational database design and maintenance techniques
5. Proven ability to interpret data and express implications of analysis to clients
6. Prior experience in database marketing, reporting, market research, market profiling or general analytics

Soft Skills:
1. Good verbal and written communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts
2. Ability to learn quickly and solve problems independently
3. Be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
