Senior Copywriter (Training & Development/Sales & Marketing)

Our client is looking for Experienced Writers to join their team! The Senior Copywriter is expected to provide the department with professional writing for all media, including, but not limited to training and development, speech writing, script writing, copywriting, etc. Writer will be expected to be an expert on voice of the cleint’s brand.
• Demonstrates proven diversity in writing ability, with experience writing for all media and for clients across divisions and specialties.
• Has diverse knowledge base, which contributes to the ability to research and quickly assimilate both technical and non-technical information. Common topics include: training, systems descriptions, health care market trends, the client’s business strategies, manufacturing, and policies and procedures.
• Writes scripts for video and interactive media projects.
• Writes to an audience (educational level, degree of formality or familiarity) and writes to form (creates or imitates a style, or follows rigid specifications).
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills for interviewing and client contact.
• Partners with account teams, clients and creative directors to scope projects.
• Edits and proofreads work produced by other writers in the department as well as customers, and conveys constructive criticism with reason and tact.
• Operates desktop publishing word processing systems involving advanced formatting and automation techniques, and applies accepted principles of document design, page layout, and illustration.
• Assesses client needs, selects the appropriate tactic, and writes creative treatment proposals that meet those needs.
• Creatively solves new, uncommon writing or production problems with fresh approaches and new directions or technologies.
• Analyzes job requirements; negotiates department commitments, resources, deadlines, and scope changes; and is responsible for proper completion of projects.
• Recognizes problem areas and identifies characteristics demanding special attention.
• May lead project teams of internal and external resources.
• In a collaborative environment, works with team members to communicate project goals and commitments, individual expectations, special requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Works with clients, employees, department manager, and other agency managers to establish timelines, budgets, and schedules.
• May assist manager in guiding and directing the professional development of other department members.
• Serves as mentor to peers and junior members of the group.
• Performs “project mentoring” (i.e., oversees projects that are coordinated by junior members of the department).
• Provides ideas and initiatives to improve department performance.
