Senior Copywriter

The Senior Copywriter develops compelling content and creative concepts to promote products or services for acute care hospitals and corporate. Writes copy for anything related to advertising or business promotion — hospital newsletters, billboards, print advertisements, radio and television commercials, direct mail pieces and more for a number of acute care hospitals, as well as annual reports and corporate newsletters.

Internal relationships: Collaborates and works with Creative team and acute care hospital Marketing Directors to ensure tone and style meet company standards and legal guidelines. Maintains regular contact with Vice President of Advertising, Creative Manager and Advertising Manager.

External relationships: Contacts radio and video production vendors when necessary.
Essential Job Duties:
Develops creative concepts and writes advertising materials, including collaboration with designers, for a number of acute care hospitals.
Manages projects through the various stages, including revisions based on hospital marketing directors’ input
Develops and writes corporate projects as assigned.
Reviews hospital publications and social media
Performs other duties as assigned/required

Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Advertising or Journalism, with 8 + years experience is required.
Working knowledge of copywriting techniques and standards, public relations and audio/video production. Computer skills using Mac are required.

• Superior writing skills, as well as strong copy editing, proofreading and research skills
• Experience in healthcare preferred, but not required
• Solid conceptual abilities and a strategic thinker
• Ability to analyze complex ideas and communicate them in a clear and concise manner to all target audiences
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational ability
• A multi-tasker and list maker who enjoys working at a fast pace with multiple deadlines
• Accurate
• Highly self-motivated and maintains an interest in competitor activities, successful campaigns and new advertising trends and techniques
• Intellectually curious
