Senior Copy Writer

Our client is looking for a Sr. Copywriter who doesn’t just know how to deliver product copy, but also tells a compelling story through a messaging strategy that elevates their brand across all retail and eCommerce channels. You are passionate about bringing our story to life and excited about the opportunity to connect directly with our end consumers. 

Essential Functions

  • Holistic Oversight – ensure all communication touch points come together to deliver a strong and compelling message that drives the consumer to purchase
  • Brand journalism — driving content strategy and brand voice
  • Product copy — packaging, P.O.P, product naming, features, online product content, video scripts, e-newsletters, sales flyers, instructions, inserts, search/keyword ads
  • Brand copy —  develop a messaging strategy that supports their brand by working with the team on messaging and development of presentations, promotions, events
  • Proofreading – relentless about the details and pride in delivering high quality content
  • Advertising – working with agencies on multi-channel awareness vehicles
  • Media/PR – press releases, working with PR agency for a variety of product and brand stories
  • Internal communications — cultural and brand messages, presentations, HR
  • Industry acumen – check advertising trends, consumer surveys and other data regarding marketing of specific products to formulate presentation approach

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising or related field), or related certifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing copywriting
  • Experience writing for consumers, internal audiences, retailers and across different vehicles (packaging, advertising, presentations, literature, web)
  • Ability to translate product information into consumer features and positioning
  • Experience writing for a consumer brand (fashion, CE, CPG) will definitely help with acclimating to the pace and environment
  • Total enthusiasm for keeping on top of current best practices for content strategy, branding, competitor products, consumer trends
  • Solid project/time management, communication, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Collaboration – effective in cross-functional teams via in-person, phone and virtual
