Our Software as a Service (SaaS) client is looking for a creative Senior Content Writer who knows how to find that awesome idea, do some research and interviews to collect all the angles, write it out in engaging, personal, story-telling style, and work with their design pros to add the right visuals and bring the whole thing to life. If this is you, then you should apply.

They have a massive customer base and it continues to grow daily. And that’s not just their millions of users (literally), but also the hundreds of thousands of interested people they attract monthly who want to find better ways to manage their work every single day.

This 3 month contract-to-hire position that reports to the Director of Content Marketing and is based in the client's offices in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:
You have the attributes of a journalist, always wanting to find the best story, uncover all the facts, identify the people with knowledge, interview them, and ultimately build a story that engages our audience.
You have a solid, experienced-based understanding of what it takes to engage people with compelling content.
You know enough about SEO to weave in the words and phrases that make your stories discoverable.
You love digging into trends, researching backgrounds and data, getting an understanding of where our market is moving, and writing about it with a distinct, cogent point-of-view.
You’re comfortable in the technical realm, able to delve into the complex but boil it up to the salient points that everyone can understand.
You look to use more than just one channel to distribute your content; in fact, you like to think about social media, about forums where our audience may hang out, and about new venues to deliver content.
You’re not one to just sit in a dark room and write all day, but one to be out talking with others, finding the best story.
You have some great examples that show concise, compelling content for marketing purposes including newsletters, web pages, blog posts, webinars, whitepapers, email campaigns, and presentations.
You don’t mind taking someone else’s attempt at writing and editing it into something beautiful.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or English preferred)
5 to 7 years of experience creating content in a marketing environment; B2B is a plus
Experience developing a variety of content forms for a variety of mediums
Experience working with executive and technical stakeholders to create content
Experience writing in short-form, crisp copy, as well as long-form SEO or technical content
Experience in Journalism is a plus
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

All employees must be self-starters who can, with minimal guidance, drive projects from concept through completion:
Focus to make quick strikes, iterate, and produce in high volume
Smarts to pick up new concepts at light speed
Agility to quickly adjust priorities and shift direction
Flexibility to contribute to other projects as required
