Senior Content Manager

Our client, a world leading food & homewear retailer, is looking for a Senior Content Manger to join their ever-growing Slough based digital team. The team is small, and made up of digitally savvy and ambitious professionals, who are looking for someone similar to join them in improving the usability and branding of the website.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the creation and presentation of compelling content across several pages of the mail ecommerce website, as well as championing the onsite search capability.

Key Accountabilities:
• Managing the homepage promotional schedule, ensuring that our USPs and social proof points are featured with the objective of driving brand awareness and consideration
• Driving click through to key content (sales and service)
• Testing and trialling the content to ensure customer usability goals are met
• Researching and proposing regular refreshes to content presentation / sources
• Ensuring that the content is kept up to date with press release info, awards won and any industry news that is relevant
• Building awareness through cross promotion with our LinkedIn profile
• Working with the Brand and PR, Digital and Social teams to ensure cross promotion and alignment of messages to drive users to the site
• Supporting the delivery of the strategy to evolve content in line with changing consumer expectations
• Working closely with our SEO agency to ensure that key content from site search is represented
• Proof-reading content created by content creators to ensure that it is accurate and fits with our tone of voice
• Acting as the publisher of all content
• Reviewing and recommending improvements to our onsite search capability
• Working with our optimisation team to use data and insight to drive improvements to the search capability and results
• Working with our development agency to implement change to the onsite search functionality

Key Skills & Experience
• Experience in a B2C online environment, preferably with Editorial experience
• Experience of using content management systems
• Experience building web pages for digital marketing activities
• Experience briefing creative teams and managing output
• Excellent communications skills - verbal and written
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Experience of briefing development agencies and working with wireframes
• Experience of working with optimisation teams and analytics to drive UX improvements
• Customer centric approach – joining up the dots for them
• Flexibility in approach in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Good stakeholder management
• Proactive and results-drive, you’re able to deliver projects on time, on budget and on brief
